The American Express® Business Gold Card has replaced the old Business Gold Rewards Card, with a new rewards program and valuable first-year offers.
The Business Gold Card provides 4X Membership Rewards points in two – out of six possible – categories your business spends the most in. The six categories are:
- Airfare purchased directly from airlines
- U.S. advertising purchases: online, TV, radio
- U.S. providers of computer hardware, software and cloud solutions
- U.S. gas stations
- U.S. restaurants
- U.S. shipping
Each month American Express calculates the two categories that your business spent the most in, and those purchases will retroactively earn 4X points. The 4X rate is available for the first $150,000 in combined purchases per year.
2X Membership Rewards points are awarded for eligible purchases from Amex Travel, with a 1X Membership Rewards point for every other purchase.
When using points to book airfare, you’ll get a 25% Airline Bonus, meaning you get 25% of your points back. You can also transfer your points to a variety of airline and hotel loyalty programs.
