Here is our list of best credit cards for Uber and Lyft.
Lyft Rides
Chase Sapphire Reserve® Credit Card
The Chase Sapphire Reserve® Credit Card is an excellent travel card, but it got an upgrade that makes it even better for Lyft riders.
You 10X points per dollar on Lyft rides through March 2025 and a free year of Lyft Pink, which includes:
- 15% off all rides
- Relaxed cancellation fees
- Priority airport pickup
- Waived lost and found fees
- Three free 30-minute bike or scooter rides per month
- Special member offers
Uber rides earn 3X points as part of the travel category, which isn’t too bad.
Runners-up:
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
- Chase Freedom Flex℠ Credit Card
- Chase Freedom Unlimited®
- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
Uber Perks
The Platinum Card® from American Express
We wouldn’t suggest getting the Platinum Card® from American Express just for its Uber perks, but it’d be a beneficial card for regular Uber users.
It’s got two Uber-specific features:
- Up to $200 in annual Uber Cash: Add your Platinum Card® to the Uber app to get up to $15 in Uber Cash per month (plus a $20 bonus in December) for Uber Eats and rides only.
- Uber VIP: Add your Platinum Card® to the Uber app to get Uber VIP status where available.
Since your Uber Cash is split up into $15 per month, this card is best for frequent Uber riders. You can’t roll over Uber Cash. You must use it all each month to max it out.
The $200 in Uber Cash is valuable and helps offset the annual fee. There aren’t any Lyft perks or specific rewards for rideshares.
Runners-up:
- American Express® Gold Card
- American Express® Green Card
